Dale Parker, Erica Jozwiak, and Paul Mayer recently tried a two day liability only trial in Clearwater, Florida.
Our client’s dump truck was driving on US 19 when it rear ended the plaintiff’s car. Plaintiffs claimed they were properly stopped at a traffic light. Our driver claimed the plaintiffs suddenly swerved into his lane and slammed on their brakes causing the accident.
This was the first civil trial in Clearwater, Florida since March 2020 and included witnesses appearing via Zoom.
The jury apportioned 70% fault of the plaintiff and 30% fault to our driver.
